Best Easy Ways to Have Healthy Hair

Whether your have been through a lot of rebonding, blow drys and dyes, or your slackness of keeping them healthy has affected them, it is really important that you should have a healthy hair. Whether long or short, your hair speaks volumes about your personality. So, if they are damaged and even beyond control, you can always take care of them properly, and get the damage undone.

Do Not Wash Your Hair Often

Avoid washing your hair too much. Too much water can cause your hair to become frizzy and may cause breakage as well.  If possible, wash them on alternate days, if possible. However, if you have to wash your hair daily, then go for a dry shampoo as it will not coat your hair unnecessary moisturizer and will remove the dirt, grime and the sweat properly.

Use a Pre-Shampoo

Yes, a pre-shampoo is a thing. It is just like a primer for a hair which stops your hair from rubbing and causing friction when you actually shampoo them. Just apply the primer on your hair before actually getting them wet, and you will be saving a lot of damage to them.

Choose The Right Shampoo

While it is not good to shampoo your hair a lot, yet it is important that the shampoo you use is the best one for them. Most of the shampoos are full of sulfates which can be really bad for your hair. The shampoos which come with the label of “clarifying formula” are even worse. So, which shampoo would you go for? The temptation of getting an organic shampoo may sound irresistible, but in case you cannot find one, then your choice should be a damage repairing shampoo and a cleansing conditioner.

Stay Clear of Hair Styling Products

Unless and until you absolutely need them, you should avoid all the hair styling products. Hair sprays, gels and mouse are all loaded with harmful elements which can destroy your hair. They can cause your hair to dry up, become frizzy and even split up. These products also cause premature hair whitening. Same goes for blow drying, straightening and curling your hair using an iron rod too much.

Choose Your Hair Conditioner Wisely

If your hair is exposed to a lot of artificial heat, then conditioner should be your best fried for causing minimum damage. You should opt for a conditioner which says “polyquaternium” or “methicone” on its label. These two ingredients do not wash off easily and are heat resistant. Simply leave on your conditioner for 5 minutes after applying and wash off with cold water.

Dry Your Hair Properly

Not with a blow dry, but with a towel. After washing your hair, use your towel to absorb maximum dampness, but without rubbing them. This will reduce the time you will need to be using a blow dry for drying your hair. You can also use your old t-shirts for drying your hair.

Massage Your Head

Massaging your hair once a week with sesame or olive oil is a must. This increases the blood circulation in your scalp and makes the hair more healthy. For even better results, apply the oil on your hair as well. This will leave them all shiny and sparkly without having to expose them to any harmful products.

Let Those Hair Loose

When you tie your hair in a tight pony tail or cover them with a hat for an extensive periods of time, they become dull. Let them get exposed to some fresh air by letting them loose.

Do Not Wash Your Hair with Hot Water

Just like it is harmful to expose your hair to too much blow drying, ironing and curling through hair styling products, it is also wrong to wash them with hot water. Use water at room temperature or slightly cold water for washing them instead of exposing them to a lot of heat.

Brush Your Hair At Least Twice a Day

Brushing your hair increases blood circulation. Do not be too cruel when brushing them though, use gentle strokes and untangle them carefully. Brush your hair once in the morning and once at night.

Clean Your Brushes

You should keep your hair brush and comb clean. Take out any loose hair from them. Wash them once a month. Avoid sharing your hair brush with anyone.

Condition Your Hair with Eggs

Eggs are full of proteins which are essential for keeping your hair healthy and strong. Apply a beaten egg on your hair and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure that your hair is clean when you do this treatment. Rinse off the egg with cold water. If your hair stinks, then use a mild shampoo for getting rid of the smell.

Apply a Honey Mixture

Take a cup of conditioner which you normally use and mix it with 3 tablespoons of honey. Apply the mixture on your hair and leave it on for half an hour. Wash it off with water. This will give an awesome shine to your hair without harming them.

Take Care of Your Hair While Swimming

If you are not in a habit of covering your hair while swimming, you have to break this habit. Always put a swimmer’s cap on making sure all your hairs are secured under it. Also, if possible, apply conditioner on your hair and wash it off after 5 minutes. This will create a further barrier between the hair and te water as well.

Get Them Trimmed

Yes, we all love long hair, but to make sure that they are long as well as healthy, you should get them trimmed after every few months. This will get rid of any split ends present.
