Taco Pie

Ingredients for the Pie Crust

  • 1 1\2 cup almond flour
  • 1\4 cup melted butter
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for filling the Pie

  • 1lb ground mutton
  • 1 table spoon Paleo cooking oil or fat
  • 1\2 onion
  • 1\cup barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 slice red bell pepper

Crust preparation

Take a bowl and combine the almond flour, butter and salt. You have to blend it until becomes like dough. Take a dish and spread it uniformly over it.

Filling Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Take a pan, melt cooking fat over the medium heat and put the onions into it, do till they are slightly brown.
  • You can add the ground mutton to it and thoroughly cook it.
  • Mix the sauce, salt and pepper to taste and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Now put this cooked mutton on the previously formed Pie Crust, keep it in oven for 30 minutes.
  • Before serving cover it with lettuce and bell pepper.
